If you are completing your degree program in May 2024, you are eligible to apply for Optional Practical Training (OPT), a post-graduation work authorization benefit of your F-1 visa.

OPT Information Sessions

You must view the OPT Information Session in your ISSDeacs OPT Application and complete the OPT Assessment with a satisfactory score in order to submit your OPT Recommendation I-20 Request in ISSDeacs.  For more information, visit our website.  

OPT Review Sessions
We strongly encourage you to apply earlier. You can apply for OPT up to 90 days before graduation and through your 60-day grace period after graduation. OPT applications are currently being accepted by USCIS and processing timelines are 90 Days or more.  

OPT Review Sessions are held weekly, every Monday at 10:00 am and Thursday at 3:00 pm. The sessions are now virtual and held through Zoom. You can sign up here, https://calendly.com/isss-appt You must attend an OPT Review Session before ISSS can issue your OPT I-20.
